Natalí Katz is a Latin American artist and designer who was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1979, and who is best known for her creativity and environmental-fun perspective of design, applied in each of her creations, which promote awareness about the protection of nature and traditions with a recreational view.
In 2008, Natalí finished her studies in Palermo University with a Major in Graphic Design, focusing in packing.  She was awarded with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Science scholarship to began studying a Master course in Product Design at Kobe Design University in Japan.  Three years later, 2011,  she extend the scolarship to begin her PhD studies at the same university.
She worked for Procter & Gamble, Converse All Star, Promoptions, Sacerdoti Hnos. printing house, Cincomilcinco design studio, Coserindo among other companies.

Meanwhile, Natalí is also creating soft creatures with sounds and lights mechanism that became her passion. Since then she design and handcraft a growing collection of a kind art toys and a variety of products. Inspired by nature, her style is a contemporary fusion of organic shapes, bright colors and playful characters that she formed an ever growing universe with several themes. In 2012 she made exhibitions of her work in Japan and with Javier Eisenack set up their own brand of this unique characters called IMO.

ナタリー・カッツは１９７９年生まれ、アルゼンチンのブエノスアイレス出身、兵庫県存在。
ナタリーは、光と色による豊かな刺激に動かされてクリエイター活動を続けてきました。大学時代からの友人、ルシーラ・ヘインバーグと共に「Teta costuras」のブランドとしてデザインしたスカートやアクセサリーを発表し、大好評を得る作品を生み出しています。デザイナーとしての勉強を続けな がら、パッケージやグラフィックデザインの会社で働く機会を活用し、商業デザインの世界における経験も積んできています。
タイポグラフィの 科目で漢字に興味を持ったことをきっかけに、日本の文化、そしてデザインに関心を持つようになりました。2008年には文部科学省の支援のもとに研究留学 活動を始め、2009年には奨学金を受け、研究者として日本に来日しつつ、キャラクターやおもちゃのデザイン、創作を進めています。

 

3年間の研究から発展した作品のまとめとして、光、音、布、再利用プラスチックなどを使って作成した、すてきなキャラクターたちの生態系を皆さんに紹介す るため、今年７月ArtYard Studioにて「Sensorial ecosystem」という個展を行いまして、あそこでは、「IMO」というブランドとして発表するナタリーの作品も初公開いたしました。今回「Sensorial　ecosystem」の続きとして素晴らしい雰囲気の旧グッゲンハイム邸がキラキラコイの泳ぎで爽やかな色を染められます。
この新たな展示方はディナミズムに重点を置いて、観客に光と色に通じて反応を与えるので是非良い時間が過ごせるようになります。
